Overview
Sosyal Transkript is a live digital student development platform designed to make university students’ extracurricular achievements visible, structured and independently verifiable.
The platform enables students to record the social, cultural, volunteering, sports, club, community and personal-development activities they participate in throughout their university education. Submitted activities are reviewed through a structured adviser approval workflow before being added to the student’s official Social Transcript.
Rather than representing student development solely through academic grades, the system provides a broader and more comprehensive record of participation, responsibility, social contribution and personal development.
Students can submit new activity records, provide supporting information and monitor the current status of their applications. Academic advisers can review each submission, evaluate the supporting records and approve, reject or return applications when corrections are required. Administrative users can manage activity categories, institutional rules, reporting processes and system-wide records.
Approved activities are automatically included in a professionally generated Social Transcript document. The document is produced in PDF format and contains structured activity information together with a unique QR code and verification identifier.
Each transcript can be independently verified through a public verification page. When the QR code is scanned, the verification service confirms that the document was generated by the institutional platform and displays the corresponding validated record. This provides a reliable mechanism for employers, graduate programmes and other external stakeholders to confirm the authenticity of the document.
The system includes role-based access control, institutional identity integration, automated email notifications, secure public verification, CAPTCHA protection, reporting capabilities and server-side PDF generation.
I worked on the analysis, software architecture and development of the platform, including the student application workflow, adviser approval processes, administrative interfaces, database design, institutional integrations, PDF transcript generation, QR verification infrastructure, security controls and production deployment.
Sosyal Transkript creates a trusted digital record of the experiences and contributions that are often not visible in a traditional academic transcript. It allows students to present their broader university journey through an official, accessible and verifiable document.
